We travel from Kent into West Sussex for LV and 11kV cable faults. The eastern side of the county is the shorter journey.
Phones answered Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm. Out-of-hours by arrangement.
UK Power Networks states that its South Eastern area includes parts of West Sussex. SSEN (Southern Electric) covers other parts of the county further west. The east of the county, towards Crawley and the Surrey border, is the shorter drive from Kent. The Chichester side is further.
We agree each West Sussex visit against the fault and the distance. Tell us the postcode, whether the supply is off, and if both cable ends can be accessed. Phones answered Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm. Out-of-hours by arrangement.
The test equipment we own is the same kit we use in Kent: Lexxi T1660 TDR, CAT and Genny, a Megger 5kV insulation resistance tester and a Kewtech multifunction tester. A thumper and acoustic pinpointer are hired for high-resistance or intermittent faults when that has been agreed.
Parts of West Sussex are UK Power Networks and parts are SSEN. Either way, we are attending as the fault-location and jointing contractor, not as the network operator.
LV and 11kV fault location, route tracing and repair are the services we can discuss. The repair is done by our own jointers, up to 33kV where the job is suitable.
Send the voltage, the postcode and what you know so far. We’ll call you back during phone hours.
