Medway — Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester — is north Kent, a short journey from our base, on the UK Power Networks system.
Phones answered Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm. Out-of-hours by arrangement.
Medway’s towns sit on the river and on dense older streets, with riverside industry as well as housing. Buried LV cable, street lighting and site 11kV feeders are the faults we are asked to look at. UK Power Networks (South Eastern Power Networks) is the distribution operator for the public network.
Being in Kent, Medway does not need a long mobilisation discussion. We still need the voltage, the postcode and access to the cable ends before the test is worth making. An isolated cable with both ends available is a better visit than a live board nobody can switch.
Repairs are not passed to another company. R&D Cable Jointing Ltd’s own jointers carry out suitable LV, 11kV and 33kV joints once the position is confirmed.
Chatham, Gillingham and Rochester are close to our Kent base. Phones answered Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm. Out-of-hours by arrangement. Send the fault details and we will call you back then.
Route tracing with CAT and Genny is often part of a Medway fault, because drawings of older streets and yards are frequently missing or wrong.
Send the voltage, the postcode and what you know so far. We’ll call you back during phone hours.
