We travel in from Kent to test, pre-locate and pinpoint buried LV and 11kV cable faults in London, then repair them with our own jointing team.
Phones answered Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm. Out-of-hours by arrangement.
UK Power Networks distributes electricity across London: London Power Networks in inner London, and South Eastern Power Networks across much of south London. A lost supply on a private cable is a different job from a public-network emergency. We attend buried cables on commercial sites, landlord’s supplies, industrial feeders and street lighting circuits.
London routes are often crowded, and the test is only useful if the cable can be isolated and the terminations opened. Basement substations, landlord’s switchrooms and street-lighting cut-outs all need that access arranged before we leave Kent. Send the postcode, the voltage and who can isolate the cable.
We are not the distribution network operator, and this page is not a public-network emergency line. Where the cable is yours, or it has been handed to a contractor, we can take the job from the fault report through to the joint.
London is a regular journey from our Kent base. We agree the visit once we know the voltage, the postcode and whether both ends of the cable can be reached.
Private networks, commercial sites and street lighting are the usual London enquiries. The repair, when the cable can be worked on safely, is done by R&D’s own jointers.
Send the voltage, the postcode and what you know so far. We’ll call you back during phone hours.
